NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 24 – Buyers from across Africa will now be able to buy and pay for goods from merchants located in various markets in a fast, convenient and secure process, following goAfrica fully integrating Finserve’s online payment platform, Jenga Payment Gateway.

London-based online e-commerce platform goAfrica is known to focus on business to business customers and through its deal with Jenga Payment Gateway, this now provides a payment solution for online buying and selling of products.

General Manager goAfrica Kenya. Boniface Munywoki said the movement will also support business across the African region.

“Buyers and sellers can now settle transactions in a fast and secure process. The Jenga Payment Gateway has further taken away the challenges of multi-currency and cross-border settlements that are associated with online trade,” he said.

Finserve introduced the Jenga Payment Gateway in 2018, to allow business to accept payments from various sources directly into their accounts.

The system was meant to accept payments from over 180 countries allowing customers to check out with payments providers such as Visa and Mastercard, American Express, Diners, JCB, Union Pay and other card associations from 180 countries, mobile wallets from 7 countries across East & Central Africa as well as from fintech players such as Alipay and Wechat.

Finserve Managing Director Jack Ngare said the measures are meant to streamline online trade.

“We have simplified integration for businesses with an online presence, be they large or small, allowing the companies to concentrate on their core business activities. Jenga Payment Gateway offers the widest payment options coupled with seamless integration, allowing customers to pay for goods using their preferred method, whether its debit or credit cards, mobile money or electronic wallets” he explained.

goAfrica is additionally working with Finserve to introduce other capabilities that will catalyze e-commerce trade.
