President Kenyatta opens ‘Eye of Kenya’ at Two Rivers Mall

NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 1 – Two Rivers Mall has unveiled a 60-metre-high wheel with a capacity of 240 people.

The ‘Eye of Nairobi’ – which allows riders to have an exceptional view of Nairobi – was officially unveiled by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday at the mall developed by Centum Investments.

“As the tourism sector continues to thrive and grow, we are not closed to the fact that we need to ensure we are offering tourists experiences that are memorable and unique,” said President Kenyatta.

Centum Director Dr. Chris Kirubi said the 40-capsule recreational wheel is the highlight of the theme park at the Mall that includes quad bikes and water park.

“Our goal is to grow our economy and create opportunities for the youth. This was a dream I had and seeing it come to life has been an honour. I appreciate the hard work and dedication of the team,” said Kirubi.

Also present at the event was Centum CEO James Mworia and Sanjay Chakraborty, CEO Funscapes.
