NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 20 – Aspira, a product finance company, has entered into a partnership deal with Vacay Holiday Deals that will see Kenyans get affordable credit and pay later within a six-month period.
The move will allow Kenyans wishing to travel to some of the popular local and international tourist destinations such as Mombasa, Diani, Malindi, Lamu, Dubai, South Africa and Thailand an opportunity to pay a 30 percent minimum deposit upfront of the total cost to enable them enjoy the deal.
Managing Director of Aspira, Yoeal Haile said that the partnership with Vacay Holiday Deals is coming at an opportune time when most Kenyans wish to go on holiday and vacation but they don’t have the resources to do so.
“As a company, we would like to provide Kenyans with an opportunity to enjoy their holidays conveniently and yet have the peace of mind of paying for it later within six months without necessarily placing a huge financial burden during this festive season,” said Yoeal Haile.
According to a report done by The World Tourism and Travel Council, it estimates that in 2017 travel and tourism in Kenya generated Sh769.1 billion. This was equivalent to 10 percent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product.
Consumers, who would like to enjoy the following deal, will be required to apply for credit, through the Aspira app, by sharing basic personal and employment information; are pre-approved for credit within 5 minutes, after which they can place their bookings through Vacay Holiday Deals.
Aspira officially launched in Kenya in May and provides consumers with access to a wide variety of lifestyle products such as furniture, electronic items, laptops as well as household appliances through various retail partners such as Hotpoint Appliances, TACC, Victoria Courts, Elite Digital Solutions, Jumia, Pro Audio, Contipartner and much more.
