Dalbit Petroleum bags KRA Distinguished Tax Payer award

NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 1 – Local energy trading firm Dalbit Petroleum, has picked the leading oil importer taxpayer trophy at the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) 2018 Distinguished Taxpayers awards ceremony held on Wednesday.

At the awards ceremony presided over by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Dalbit Petroleum carried home the Leading Large Oil Importer trophy for its diligence as a large taxpayer in the oil industry category.

 Other oil importers Ramji Haribhai Devani and Brain Field Oil and Gas Limited picked the Medium and Small taxpayer category trophies.

Speaking, moments after the trophy presentation, Dalbit Petroleum Chief Officer- Supply Chain, Esther Ngero, said the award is a further validation of the company’s commitment to be tax compliant and contribute to the social and economic development of the nation.

The award, she said, had been made possible by the company’s leadership and employees’ continued commitment to uphold best in class operating standards.

“At Dalbit Petroleum, we are excited to receive this award which serves to renew our obligation to maintaining world-class standards in all our business fronts,” Ngero said, adding that, “The award is also a tribute to our hardworking workforce which is dedicated to fueling regional growth and Kenya’s Big Four agenda.”

Since its inception, Dalbit Petroleum has through its vast networks and affiliated partners enjoyed steady growth and currently has strong operational footprints throughout East Africa and the Great Lakes regions.
