Total Kenya appoints Olagoke Aluko new Managing Director

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 3 – Total Kenya has appointed Nigerian Olagoke Aluko the new Managing Director following the resignation of Anne-Solange Renouard.

Renouard who effective October 1, 2018 has been at the helm since November 1, 2015 and was previously Managing Director of Total Mauritius from 2012.

Aluko who was the General Manager Operations at Total Nigeria Plc took over as Managing Director effective October 1, 2018.

Aluko has 17 years of professional experience in the Downstream Oil & Gas sector and joined Total in 2000.

He has served as Chief Financial Officer in three Total affiliates that include Ethiopia Jamaica and Guinea.

Last month the company appointed Jean Philippe Torres, a French national as chairman of the board effective September 5, 2018.

He took over from Jean Christian Bergeron another French national who resigned from the position he had held since September 2015.

Total Kenya reported a 23 per cent growth in profit for the year ending December 31, 2017 to Sh2.7 billion with net sales going up 25 per cent to Sh111 billion owing to increase in both sales volume and international oil prices.
