NAIROBI, Kenya Jun 26 – GALANZ, a reputable Chinese multinational in the consumer electronics industry has appointed a Country Director to lead its sales and marketing ambitions in Kenya and eventually the East Africa region.

George Mudhune who previously was Philips General Manager for East & Southern Africa is the new Country Director for Kenya at Galanz.

Mudhune an experienced marketer is described by industry colleagues as a resilient strategic person in managing regional business operations particularly start-up’s. Galanz will be looking at tapping into Mudhune’s pertinent market knowledge and good understanding of regional consumer and commercial dynamics to drive its regional business growth commencing with Kenya.

The appointment of George Mudhune who was instrumental in crafting successful strategic market entries for LG Electronics and Sony Corporation in East Africa in their respective formative years is seen as Galanz resolute ambition to make a significant presence in growing Africa markets. Mudhune is also understood to have a good working relationship within the FMCG retail and distribution network in East, Central and Southern Africa region.
Specialized in manufacturing for 39 years, Galanz has refurbished the world’s cognition of “Made in China”.

Starting with microwave trade, its business now covers a full supply of microwave oven, air conditioner, refrigerator, washing machine, dryer, dish washer and other small home appliances.
