The Authority’s General Manager in charge of Operations William Ruto stated that a list of containers nominated to the various stations shall be posted on KPA official website for importers to know where each containers have been assigned/FILE

NAIROBI, Kenya, May 29 – Operations at the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) have resumed normally with the evacuation of cargo using the Standard Gauge Railway and the Container Freight Stations moving on swiftly.

The Authority’s General Manager in charge of Operations William Ruto stated that a list of containers nominated to the various stations shall be posted on KPA official website for importers to know where each containers have been assigned.

He has also dismissed reports of inefficiency and graft at port attributed to congestion.

He attributed the crisis to the KRA Manifest Management System failure last week, which has since been rectified.
