NAIROBI, Kenya, May 17 – Supermarket chain Nakumatt has refuted claims that it is winding up its popular Global Card Reward scheme.
In a statement, the Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Dixon, says the reports circulating on social media are erroneous.
“The directors of Nakumatt can categorically confirm that the Global Card scheme is under no threat of closure,” says Dixon.
He adds that the company will soon announce further developments within the scheme to enhance customer usage.
The Mastercard-powered card replaced the Nakumatt Cybercash with a view of accelerating cashless transactions.
The multi currency card allows over a million Nakumatt shoppers accumulate loyalty points which they can trade for goods in the stores.
