QSuite features the industry’s first-ever double bed available in Business Class
NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 9 – Qatar Airways has unveiled its newly revamped business class which offers the world’s first double bed in the class.
Dubbed ‘Q Suite’, the design also includes face-to-face configurations which allow travelers to create rooms by connecting seats hence creating privacy.
Qatar Airways Group CEO Dr. Akbar Al Baker said the launch of Q Suite, which has since been patented, would ultimately allow business class passengers have a first class experience.
With the double bed offering, Qatar Airways is the only airline to do so, after Singapore Airways which introduced double beds for its first class in 2007.
“The Q Suite enhances privacy, especially for a business meeting, family setting and even romantic dinners,” Baker told the press Tuesday, during the launch of Q Suite at the ITB Berlin Travel Industry Trade Show.
Also available are private TV monitors and refurbished in-flight entertainment.
Additionally, passengers will enjoy new food and beverage options.
The first of its kind design will be available in all newly delivered Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft, with the existing 777s and A350s expected to be upgraded.
