Instagram live video goes global

Jan, 25 – Instagram has rolled out the live video feature globally allowing millions of users to broadcast

Most Instagram users on version 10.0 and above have seen the prompts to go live by swiping right from the feed. And just like Snapchat, the live video will disappear from the app after the video ends.

“We will be rolling out to our entire global community over the next week. From real-time makeup tutorials to live DJ sets, it’s been exciting to watch as the community shares new sides of their lives,” said Instagram on their blog.

Users can also see Top Live on Explore, connecting them to exciting live stories.

Instagram co-founder admitted mid-last year that its stories featured borrowed heavily from snapchat
