NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 6 – President Uhuru Kenyatta Monday conducted an impromptu inspection of the construction progress of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).

The President overflew the SGR line from Mombasa to Nairobi, stopping at the Mtito Andei passenger station and Konza signal station.

President Kenyatta says that the project is firmly on track and will be completed on time and on budget in June next year.

At Mtito Andei, President Kenyatta addressed residents and workers, thanking them for the efforts they are putting to get the SGR delivered on time.
