Our client a real estate company with a vision of transforming the provision of housing in Kenya by setting the standard for the development of affordable, thriving communities for hard working families.
Chronic shortage of housing means that slums are the dominant form of urban housing. Our client exists to bridge the gap between the huge demand for affordable housing and this shortage of supply. They have developed an innovative solution that will help transform the region’s urban landscape and bring the dream of homeownership to the masses.
They are searching for a disciplined and tenacious Sales Manager who will report directly to the Managing Director.
Job Purpose
The jobholder will be responsible for the daily management of the sales team and driving sales targets. The Sales & Marketing Manager will be required to safeguard the reputation of Company by dealing with all employees, directors, customers, vendors and associates in an honest and professional manner.
Key responsibilities
 Overall management of every aspect of sales and the sales team.
 Taking every sale to its conclusion legally and financially – this entails managing payments and legal documentation.
 Building the in-house sales team by hiring and training more Sales Executives
 Setting up an effective sales lead tracking process and ensuring that all leads are followed up appropriately and timely;
 Pitching marketing ideas to the Managing Director; organizing and leading chosen marketing efforts to drive sales;
 Generating sales leads from marketing pushes;
 Assisting the sales team in reaching the monthly target of 30 sales per month;
 Providing weekly lead and sales data updates and reports to the Managing Director;
 Training the sales team on effective sales tactics and strategies, including but not limited to: how to create and tailor sales pitches and presentations to clients, how to secure corporate pitches, how to write and speak professionally by email and phone.
 Performing any other related activities required in the company from time to time.
Minimum Requirements
 Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as Marketing or Management;
 A minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales required; property, development or real estate experience highly desirable.
 Proven experience in building, managing and developing a sales team.
Desirable Skills
 Exceptional training, administrative and management skills with an understanding of the internal processes that drive these functions within a business.
 Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize and to handle the high stress environment of a sales department;
 Attention to detail.
 Proficient managing complexity in a well-organized manner.
 Excellent research, data analysis and presentation skills;
 Excellent computer skills and proficient in MS Office: excel, word, powerpoint;
 Comfortable with CRM systems.
 Professional communication skills, both verbal and written;
 Commitment to our vision and mission;
 Display entrepreneurial skills;
 Above all, passion, drive and integrity
Salary Budget: Kshs.200-250,000 Gross
