NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 22 – A Smartphone with a cover designed in Kenya has been launched locally and internationally.

The global launch of the Cubot Note S was done in Kenya in honour of Kenyan artists who designed the phone’s cover.

Online retailer Kilimall, has been appointed the exclusive distributor of the brand in Kenya and the East African region by the manufacturer, Chinese mobile firm Cubot.

“The use of the African inspired Kenyan designs has increased the phone’s appeal both locally and globally,” Kilimall Marketing Director Larry Liu noted. Kilimall marketing director Larry Liu noted.

“Our market research for Africa pointed to a very high appreciation of the Cubot brand in Kenya.”

The new phone will retail at Sh8,888, has been made possible through Cubot’s strategic partnership with Kilimall to have the Smartphone sold through the kilimall.co.ke website.

The 5.5-inch screen Cubot Note Series comes with ultra-high spec features on the Android platform with a longer battery life of two days for the average user.

It also comes with dual SIM features, enabling users to freely tailor their phone use to their preferences. Its dual-SIM works with both 2G and 3G networks.

The Cubot Note S comes in various colours including matte black, champagne gold & pearl white.
