Fitness expert, Jane Mukami recommends that to lose weight, one needs to eat five or six times a day as eating three times slows down the metabolism hindering weight loss. She also recommends that dinner should be the lightest meal of the day and should only be proteins and vegetables. Carbohydrates, she writes, should only be taken if you work out before dinner time.

Insanity’s Creator Shaun T – who has sold over 10 million workout DVD worldwide – recommends exercising at least 25 minutes a day, staying hydrated and eating clean diets to lose weight.

According to a study by Harvard Professors, a low carbohydrates diet is a smart way to lose weight. Other studies, such as that by Dr Melina Jampolis, basic things such as doing cardiovascular exercise five times a week can burn a lot of calories. Activities such as standing while you talk on the phone, walking work and taking the stairs will also do the trick.
