Infinix launches a 20 minute recharge, 7 hr battery life smartphone

Smartphone and tablet manufacturer Infinix Mobility has introduced a new android smartphone, Hot Note x551 in the Kenyan market.

The Infinix Hot Note is backed by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging mode, which means that 20 minutes of charge allows you up to 7 hours performance.

“Through a ‘factory-to-consumer’ model, Infinix is partnering with Jumia.com, to reduce channel costs, create a new business model and bring incredible value to our end users,” Benjamin Jiang, Co-founder, Infinix Mobility said.

Retailing at an introductory price of Sh9,999, the Infinix Hot Note smartphone will be sold through Jumia website.

Designed in Paris and Shanghai team, the device comes in premium design with metallic finish and has a slimmer and longer case.

It is fitted with a 5.5 inch HD display, which generates High Definition (1280 x 720 pixels) images, and is equipped with several multimedia and connectivity features.

“We want to give Kenyans a chance to enjoy a revolutionary smartphone that is tailored to suit their needs. The Infinix Hot Note is a superior alternative to entry level smartphones in Kenya and will provide users with a better experience at an incredible price,” Jiang noted.

The Infinix Hot Note, runs on the latest Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) operating system, providing users with enhanced sharing, syncing and visual features. The device is powered by 1.4 GHz mediatek Octacore processor, which allows it to run smoothly and optimally.

The device comes with an 8MP main camera and an advanced image sensor, allowing users to capture HD video at 30 frames per second (FPS).

There is also a 2MP front camera with support for 75percent wide angle shooting for easy selfies with friends and families. The Hot Note x551 device supports dual SIM with both supporting 2G/3G.

Equipped with new security features, the Hot Note is able to check all incoming programs for your device hence protecting itself from malware and viruses that may be found in unscreened apps.
