4. Make your employees permanent
There is something that comes with Job security; all my workers are permanent, no matter their position.
They feel like they own the company, they have a sense of belonging. But when (employees) are on contract, they know they can go anytime, they will do just enough not to get fired and look for other avenues to make money because their contract might not been renewed. They are never at peace, they are unproductive employees.
5. Take Interest in their personal problems
Be involved in their personal life; get to know their situation in every part of their life. Mourn with them in times of grief; celebrate with them in times of joy.
We always try to foot the funeral bills when our employees lose their close relatives. This makes them feel like they are part a family and improves productivity.
