NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 13 – DHL Express Kenya has been certified as a top employer for its outstanding employee offerings in the country.

This is in addition to five other African countries – South Africa, Nigeria, Uganda, Ethiopia and Ghana that were also certified top employers in their local markets. DHL Express Sub Saharan Africa (SSA) was also certified as a top employer for Africa 2015.

Commenting on the certification, DHL Express Country Manager Alan Cassels said the achievement is an acknowledgement of the business’s strong focus on employee engagement, development and training.

“Recognition as a top employer enables companies to stand out as employers of choice. This is beneficial for all stakeholders, and in particular their current and prospective employees,” he said.

Top employers is a global and annual programme that certifies organizations which successfully demonstrate exceptional Human Resources (HR) environments and employee offerings.

The programme is an audited and research based process that assesses employee offerings as well as the conditions employers create for staff to develop.

DHL Express together with 12 other companies were recognized as having an excellent history of compliance in regards to conditions that employers create for their staff in the work environment.

“Being certified provides companies with the opportunity to celebrate their achievements and to reinforce the important role of the HR environment in the business.” he added.
