, NAIROBI, Kenya, July 4 – Local consumer products distributor and marketing firm Radbone Clark, has announced plans to train more than 10,000 car wash attendants in specialised car care cleaning services.
The attendants drawn from car wash bays countrywide will progressively receive their hands-on training on the use of various Shield Car Care products and their proper application.
Radbone Clark Managing Director Rajen Patel, said the plan will be rolled out over a two year period in conjunction with Shield Car Care, a South African car care products manufacturer that has now entered the local market.
“The Radbone Clark/Shield Car Care informal training programme for car wash attendants will be a landmark initiative geared at providing a base to professionalize car care cleaning services,” Patel said. “Already, we have trained more than 150 attendants in more than 10 leading car wash bays in Nairobi and we hope to attain our 10,000 target in less than two years,” he added.
The car wash attendants undergoing the programme have been receiving specialised skills in car shampoo mixing, wax application, dash board and engine cleaning components.
At an advanced level, the carwash attendants will also receive car detailing training covering full valet services, paint protection, odour removal and waste water management.
As part of the training programme, Radbone Clark in conjunction with Shield Car Care have also unveiled a range of car cleaning kits that are now available at all major retails stores countrywide.
The kits; include the Shield Ultimate Wash and Shine Kit, Ultimate Tyre Cleaning Kit, Ultimate Polishing Kit and Ultimate Interior Cleaning Kit, which are specifically formulated to maintain your car’s pristine condition.
