NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 17 – Kenya Airways has suspended direct flights between Nairobi and Blantyre in Malawi from March 17, 2014 to March 29, 2014.

This follows closure of the Chileka Airport in Blantyre for maintenance work on the runway.

All travellers flying to Blantyre will be re-routed through Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe, Malawi.

The airline says one free change shall be allowed for re-booking/re-routing for all passengers booked to travel between March 16, 2014 and March 29.

It will also allow full refund for fully unutilised tickets, while partially utilised tickets shall be refunded less sectors travelled.

All re-booking should be done by March 24, 2014.
