Joblessness in Kenya rose 40pc in a year – survey

The report further indicates that 84.6 percent of the unemployed are willing to relocate to look for employment in other counties.

In actual fact, 72.1 percent of the employed reported that they would relocate to another county or country for job opportunities, while 84.6pc of the unemployed respondents would do so.

“The county governments have recently been advertising many jobs and the Nairobi job seekers are ready to move and the job seekers should indeed take up these opportunities,” says Wainaina.
