“At Nakumatt Holdings, our regional expansion strategy remains firmly on course and we shall be announcing further branch openings in Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and even South Sudan in coming months,” Shah said.

He said alongside their regional stores expansion, the retailer will also be introducing Nakumatt Blue Label and Nakumatt Select private brands in these markets.

“Plans are now at advanced stages to establish Clarks footwear concept stores in Kampala this year. We will also open a Skechers sports lifestyle footwear store in Kampala to meet growing demand for quality lifestyle products,” Shah stated.
