KIGALI, Rwanda, Feb 24 – Professional services firm Deloitte has opened a new office in Rwanda.

Based in Kigali, Deloitte Rwanda will provide assurance, consulting, financial, tax and risk advisory services to clients in both the private and public sectors. A team of highly qualified experts from diverse industries will provide clients with relevant advice and assistance.

Deloitte Rwanda is an addition to the Deloitte East Africa practice with other offices located in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. This expansion brings together all these practices to provide seamless cross-border services to clients in the region.

The Rwanda office is led by Norbert Kagoro, who becomes the first country leader for the Rwanda office.

Already the office has locally recruited and trained a number of staff who shall serve clients in the region. The country partners express confidence that the new office shall be able to offer clients the highest quality of service to clients in Rwanda.

Speaking at the launch of the Rwanda office, Sammy Onyango Deloitte East and Central Africa Chief Executive Officer said: “The opening of the Rwanda office marks a milestone in our ‘as one’ strategy where we seek to link all our operations across Africa under one seamless platform in order to bring our services closer to our esteemed clientele.”

“The launch of the new office is in line with the advice that Deloitte gives to its clients, which is to strengthen on the ground presence and local knowledge of any market we wish to enter.” he added.
