He appeal to well-wishers, development partners and big business to consider extending secondary school scholarships through the ‘Wings to Fly’ Program to give more bright Kenyan children the opportunity to access secondary school education.

“If we all focus on supporting these young talented brains to access education, we will be taking insurance on the future and legacy of our nation,” he said.

President Kenyatta pledged to continue with his annual personal sponsorship of Sh1 million to the ‘Wings to Fly’ programme.

Immediate former President Mwai Kibaki appreciated Kenyans and development partners supporting Government initiatives in the education sector.

Equity Bank Chief Executive Officer James Mwangi appealed to the Members of Parliament to consider financing more bright children from poor backgrounds through the Constituency Development Fund.
