The plane carrying the President and his delegation touched down at Kuwait International Airport shortly before 4pm.
He was received by the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Sabah, Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed and Kenya’s Ambassador to Kuwait Mohamed Mahat.
The President will be joining 70 other Heads of State and delegations from Africa and the Arab world for the 3rd Africa-Arab Summit.
The summit, whose theme is ‘Partners in Development and Investment’, will adopt measures to upgrade economic ties and boost Arab-Africa activities to serve the people of the two regions.
Egypt and Libya hosted the first and second summits 1977 and 2010 respectively.
The summit delegates comprise the public and private sectors, regional and international organisations and intellectuals.
