Mobile Branson splashes out in Qatar

DOHA, May 13 – Virgin Group founder Richard Branson made a splash at Thursday\’s launch of Virgin Mobile Qatar, arriving by jet-ski for the pre-paid mobile service\’s opening ceremony.

The billionaire Briton headed a V-formation of jet-skis along the corniche before landing at Doha\’s Museum of Islamic Art.

"Virgin Mobile is the fastest-growing and most successful business in Virgin\’s history, with more than fifteen million customers around the world," Branson said in a statement.

Virgin entered into a partnership with Qatari state-owned Qtel "to make Virgin Mobile Qatar our first mobile launch in the Middle East," he said.
