The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has increased pump prices for petrol, diesel and kerosene for mid-August to mid-September citing a weaker Shilling and marginally higher international fuel costs.

Great read indeed.. being subjected to such kind of treatment can only be attributed to your “Brothers” who go to church for hidden benefits. like being prayed for so that Hague does not catch up with them…. such a ridicule of the church institution. Misplaced was the “away” preacher’s thought since all he sow was a politician not a normal humble servant. so please don’t blame the Preacher for not seeing a normal Kenyan but for seeing a politician in church. C’est la vie Mheshimiwa

Pole mr professor, Kenyans don’t trust politicians.
Even me there are two people I would be surprised to see in my church. A politician and a police officer.

It is OK to exercise your freedom of worship with whoever and wherever you see fit.

The problem is that politicians have been stereotyped by the rest of us ‘hoi polloi’ so that seeing one of you in church makes us assume that you are either out to make a political statement, have serious charges hanging over your head that you need to pray publicly about or are out to get some mileage from the donation/speech that you will give/make after the church service.

If this is not the case, I am sure that your friends Uhuru & Ruto often go to church for the same spiritual nourishment that you are now talking about and without the hullabaloo that accompanied them when they went to pray to be absolved of the charges in the Hague as well as the prayers that have been going on at one place or another accompanied by a retinue of priests, pastors and assorted hangers on. If theirs was a mission of spritual enlightenment, why the drama now if not to make political capital/mileage from their peity?

The truth is that God never sleeps and those using his sanctuaries, servants and instruments for their own selfish ends risk facing his wrath a hundred fold if they continue doing so. Do not therefore be puzzled why a priest whould express shock that even politicians attend church given the shenanigans that many of your kind indulge in while seated on the front pew!!
