LONDON, United Kingdom, Jan 29- Chelsea boss Antonio Conte insists Liverpool can still win the Premier League title, ahead of their clash at Anfield on Wednesday night.
Both teams were in action in the FA on Saturday, with Chelsea booking their place in the last season with a 4-0 demolition of Brentford, while Liverpool lost 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The defeat was Liverpool’s third successive one at Anfield, and considering they trail Conte’s side by 10 in the Premier League, another defeat in mid-week would likely bring an end to their title challenge.
While the Reds have been in disappointing form since the turn of the year, Conte is wary of Jurgen Klopp’s team.
“To win away against Liverpool is never easy,” told the media after his side’s impressive victory. “We have only two days to prepare.
“When we played against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge, we lost the game, the only game we have lost here. It’s important to understand the real value of this team. It’s a really tough game, an important game.
“After this game there will be 15 games to finish the season. Liverpool are a team who can fight until the end to win the title.
“Only through work can dreams happen. For us to stay on top of the league is a dream,” the Italian added.
“If you remember our start, now we are doing very well.”
