LONDON, United Kingdom, Oct 12 – Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has dismissed talk of his side launching another title bid, insisting it is too early to start thinking about the end of the season.

Spurs remain the only unbeaten side in the English Premier League after recording a 2-0 victory over Manchester City at White Hart Lane in their last league fixture.

The performance of the Lillywhites against Pep Guardiola’s title-chasers has prompted a section of the club’s supporters to talk about a potential title tilt.

The general feeling amongst the local fan base is that the Argentine and his side have learnt from their title slip last season which provides them with a massive chance of winning their first ever Premier League trophy.

“It’s difficult for me. It’s too early. We are building a very nice project and a very nice team,” Pochettino told BBC Sport.

“We are in a moment that we need to believe and show that we are able to manage big things and big games.

“It’s a great opportunity to show that we are in the right way. I think only we need time we have a young squad, but if play with the passion that we showed against Manchester City all is possible.

“But it’s too early [for title talk]. But I understand that our fans feel proud and start to think that maybe it’s possible to achieve big things this season.”
