NAIROBI, Kenya, June 9 – New Gor Mahia player from Brazil Thiago Da Silva will not feature for the team at least for this weekend against Tusker FC in a KPL Top 8 clash at Nyayo National Stadium.

Thiago has been training with team for the past one week and on confirming his absence, club’s assistant secretary general Ronald Ngala shared a word about the player’s papers and why the head coach Jose ‘Ze Maria’ Marcelo will not be in a hurry to use him.

“Thiago’s papers are not yet in order but even if the papers were in order, coach hinted that he may not use him until after two weeks of training with the rest of the team,” Ngala told the official Gor Mahia website.

As confirmed, Gor Mahia office is working round the clock to see the Brazilian get the papers in good time without delay.

“We are in the process of sorting Thiago’s issue well and we don’t think there will be any impediment on that line,” added Ngala.

Many eyes will be on Thiago Da Silva should the Samba boy be cleared to play for the team anytime soon.
