MANCHESTER, United Kingdom May 8- Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has said that his side are “still in business” to finish in the top four this season.

United beat Norwich City 1-0 on Saturday and are now just a point behind Manchester City, who occupy fourth place on the Premier League standings.

Van Gaal was delighted with his side’s performance and the fact that they secured three valuable points, but he has urged them not to take their foot off the pedal just yet.

“We are still in business. I said that to the players. Last week, it was cold, and now it’s 35 degrees. You saw it in the players’ faces. They were very tired, but we won,” he told BT Sport. “We keep the pressure on our competitors and hope we can achieve the Champions League place because we want to play at the highest level.”

While United are now within touching distance of City, the Citizens have a game in hand and will play Arsenal, who sit in third place on the standings, on Sunday.

Should City win, it will dent the Red Devils’ hopes of competing in Europe’s elite competition next season. As a result, Van Gaal is eager to see the Gunners come away with three points in their clash with City.

“Tomorrow, I will be a Gunners fan,” he said. “Especially after the defeat against Real Madrid, it won’t be so easy for Manchester City to revive.”
