LONDON, December 3- Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has reiterated his intention to return to former club Independiente when his current contract expires.

Aguero became the youngest-ever player in Argentine football to feature in their top-flight league when he debuted for El Rojo at the age of 15 years and 35 days.

The Argentina international left the Buenos Aires club in 2006 for a move to Europe with Atletico Madrid, where he won the Europa League four years later.

Aguero has since made the switch to England, helping City to two Premier League titles and winning the Golden Boot last season after scoring 26 goals in the top flight.

The 26-year-old is under contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2019, but he has no plans to extend his stay beyond that agreement, insisting he will go back to the team where it all started for him.

“I have always said that I want to return to Independiente and I will do just that,” Aguero told So Foot. “I will return to Independiente when my contract with City expires.

“I do not want to make my comeback when I am too old. If everything goes well, I will return to the club of my heart at the age of 31.”
