LONDON, November 26- Jose Mourinho believes Chelsea can still save their season by winning the Champions League after a woeful start to the league campaign.

The Blues have struggled for form for much of the season and are languishing down in 15th position in the league standings, having won just four games in the Premier League all season.

In the , though, Chelsea are just three points off the top of Group G and two ahead of third-placed Dynamo Kiev.

And Mourinho believes his side can still go on to win the Champions League, pointing to his against-the-odds tournament wins with Porto and Inter.

“I know – and also Chelsea – we know that sometimes you win when you are not the favourites,” he said in his pre-match press conference ahead of their game against Maccabi Tel-Aviv on Tuesday.

“When I won it twice with Porto and Inter we were far from favourites. We were not even top 10 favourites.

“When Chelsea won, it was a very bad season they had and they won it. So we know the Champions League has these big doses of unpredictability.”
