LONDON, October 30- Former Chelsea team doctor Eva Carneiro will reportedly sue the club for constructive dismissal, according to reports from the Press Association.
Carneiro and Blues manager Jose Mourinho were in the headlines back in August when the Portuguese coach called her “impulsive and naive” for treating Eden Hazard, and thus forcing him off the pitch, during their draw with 2-2 Swansea City.
She was subsequently dropped from first-team duties, and was critical of the FA’s investigation into the incident, which cleared Mourinho of using discriminatory language.
“I was surprised to learn that the FA was allegedly investigating the incident of August 8 via the press,” she is quoted as saying earlier this month. “I was at no stage requested by the FA to make a statement.
“I wonder whether this might be the only formal investigation in this country where the evidence of the individuals involved in the incident was not considered relevant. Choosing to ignore some of the evidence will surely influence the outcome of the findings.”
Subsequent legal proceedings will be more bad news for Chelsea, who are in terrible form this season, leaving them 15th in the Premier League standings ahead of their clash with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
