Sanchez confident of FA Cup glory

SANCHEZ-FLIESLONDON, May 29- Alexis Sanchez is confident that Arsenal can defend their FA Cup title on Saturday and has described manager Arsene Wenger as a ‘legend’.

The Gunners square off with Aston Villa at Wembley this weekend looking to claim their second FA Cup in a as many years and their 11th title overall following last season’s dramtic 3-2 win over Hull City in the final.

Arguably the north Londoners’ best player this term, Sanchez inspired them to a 2-1 win over Reading in the semi-finals, netting both goals on the day, and the Chilean hopes to play a key role once more against the Villans.

“The reason why I moved to Arsenal is because there were a group of young players with the ambition to achieve things,” he told the Daily Mirror.

“I thought that Arsenal was the perfect club for me, the perfect club to win titles and compete in every competition.

“There is a joyful atmosphere in the dressing room. Arsenal is a magnificent club and I hope to win many titles here. I’m going to do my very best to help the club achieve success.

“The FA Cup is a competition with amazing history. Today we watched a video about Arsenal’s previous wins and thanks to the clips I trained with even more motivation.

“I hope we can win the cup so the Arsenal supporters are happy.”

Sanchez added that Wenger has played a key role in his successes so far at the Emirates and revealed the Frenchman sometimes has to drag him off the training pitch.

“He is a legend. He is an Arsenal legend,” Sanchez declared. “You learn from him every day. Sometimes we discuss about things like I would like to train more, and he doesn’t let me! But he definitely looks after me.”
