LONDON, May 27- Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed the club are interested in signing Arturo Vidal from Juventus, but admits there has been no official bid.
Vidal, who has been instrumental in Juve’s progression to next month’s Champions League final, has been linked with a an off-season move to the Emirates Stadium, with some in Italy reporting the two clubs have already agreed a fee for the Chilean midfielder.
The 27-year-old is also a target of Manchester United but is believed to prefer a move to north London due to the presence of friend and compatriot Alexis Sanchez.
Wenger has now revealed they could move for Vidal during the transfer window, but admits no decision regarding potential additions will be made until after the club’s crucial FA Cup final clash with Aston Villa at Wembley on Saturday.
“Yes, I like Vidal. Are we in transfer mode? I say no.” the Frenchman is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.
“You can suspect that at the moment I’m not in a transfer mode. We’ll deal with transfers after the FA Cup final. It’s all suspicions, nobody knows if its true or not.”
