LONDON, April 6- Chelsea winger Eden Hazard is confident that the Blues can maintain their advantage and claim the Premier League title.
A 2-1 win over Stoke City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, in which the Belgian scored one and put the other on a plate for Loic Remy, has the Blues seven points clear at the top of the table.
Although Manchester City can go second and reduce that lead to six points if they beat Crystal Palace on Monday, the Blues will still have a game in hand over the rest of the pack, leading Hazard to believe that the trophy is well within their grasp.
“We are confident. We are first in the league and we take it game after game,” he told Chelsea TV. “We have the title in our hands. We want to bring the trophy to Stamford Bridge.
“In the first half against Stoke we created a lot of chances. We played beautiful football and okay, we scored just one goal, but we deserved to score three or four.
“The most important thing was the victory and we did very well till the end. Remy can score every time when he’s on the pitch. This guy deserves to score a lot of goals.”
Chelsea must still face Manchester United and Arsenal in the coming weeks, but will now be focused on their next match against QPR at Loftus Road on Sunday.
