LONDON, March 12- On-loan Internazionale forward Lukas Podolski says he is open to continuing his career at Arsenal at the end of his temporary spell in Italy.
The Germany international struggled for game time at the Emirates and was farmed out on loan in January.
At Inter, though, things haven’t gone to plan and the 29-year-old has found himself on the periphery at the San Siro,
Podolski, though, has revealed that there is no clause in his loan deal forcing Inter to buy him, and says he would happily return to Arsenal and see out his contract.
“The chapter is not closed with Arsenal, because there is no purchase option,” he told German publication Bild.
“I was the first person to clear things up in the talks with Inter and say I didn’t want any kind of redemption clause.
“When you’re on loan you never know what can happen, so at the end of the season we’ll analyse things freely and decide the situation.
“I still have a year left on my contract and always got along really well with the guys and the fans.
“But because I was not allowed to play a lot in my last half year, I needed to try something else. When I retire at one point, I can say that I have played in three top leagues: The Bundesliga, the Premier League and Serie A.”
