LIVERPOOL, December 2- Mario Balotelli could find himself in hot water with the Football Association after the Liverpool striker uploaded an anti-Semetic post on social media.
The Italy international posted an image on Instagram of world famous video game character Super Mario, with whom he shares a nickname, along with a comment which is considered highly controversial in regards to the Jewish community.
Balotelli has since deleted the post following a raft of complaints through various social media platforms, while a Liverpool spokesman said: “We are aware of the posting which has since been promptly deleted by the player. We will be speaking to the player about the issue.”
The striker himself followed up his previous upload with another post, which read: “My Mom is Jewish so all of u shut up please (sic).”
However, the FA are now expected to take action against the former AC Milan forward, with the comments following closely to those made by Wigan chairman Dave Whelan, who has already been charged by the FA over comments about Jewish and Chinese people.
