LONDON, November 26- Cesc Fabregas has hit back at Spain team-mate Sergio Ramos’ criticism regarding the former’s decision to pull out of the recent international matches against Belarus and Germany.
Both Fabregas and Chelsea team-mate Diego Costa withdrew from the Furia Roja squad which did battle over the last two weeks, leaving Ramos less than impressed with the pair, and airing his thoughts through the media.
However, Fabregas has since responded to the Real Madrid defender’s criticism, telling Cadena COPE: “Yes, I took it personally and I’ve already told Sergio what I thought.
“I told him we’d played together since the Under-21s and he did not need to send messages to the press.
“I also told him he could always call me and tell me to my face. However, we’ve spoken on the phone and everything is fine.
“I had tendonitis in the hamstring of my left leg. If I’d gone ahead and played the same thing could have happened to me that happened to Modric.
“I talked about it with Vicente del Bosque and everything was very easy. Things like this happened to him when he was a player.
“I’ve been with Spain 94 times and have always shown up with a smile from ear to ear.
“It hurts if anybody doubts my commitment.”
