LONDON, July 22-Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has dismissed reports suggesting Marco Reus and Mats Hummels could leave this off-season.
Reus has been a long-time target for Manchester United while Hummels has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford following his outstanding showing for Germany at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Reports surfaced earlier this week claiming that the Red Devils had agreed a fee of £16 million for the 25-year-old defender, with a medical likely to take place at United’s Carrington training ground later this week.
However, Klopp has subsequently quashed the rumours, comically laughing off both the notion and the reported fee of the transfer.
“What was today’s rumour? Mats to Man U? For how much? 20 million? For a sum like that, you can forget about it anyway,” Klopp told the Ruhr Nachrichten newspaper.
“Marco and Mats will be playing for us next season. I can assure everybody that there is no sign at all that either of them want to leave.”
