ABERDEEN-VILLAGELONDON, July 17- Cameroon’s Commonwealth Games preparations have been hit after two members of their wrestling team have gone missing.

The unnamed men, aged 26 and 31, were reported missing from Cameroon’s pre-Games training camp in the Scottish city of Aberdeen on Tuesday and police are currently trying to trace them.

They were last seen at the Hillhead Halls of Residence in Don Street at around 8.30pm local time on Sunday.

One of the missing men is 5ft 8in and was wearing a black jumper and trousers, a white body warmer and a black woolly hat.

The other man is around 5ft 4in and of thin build with a prominent scar on his left cheek, police said. He was wearing sports clothing when last seen.

The Cameroon team of 47 athletes arrived in Aberdeen last week ahead of the Glasgow Games, which get underway next week.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that two men have been reported as missing from the Aberdeen area. Both, one aged 31 and one aged 26, were reported missing from the Old Aberdeen area of Aberdeen just after midday on Tuesday.

“They were last seen at the Hillhead Halls of Residence on Don Street, Aberdeen, at around 8.30pm on Sunday July 13.

“Anyone with any information regarding their whereabouts is asked to contact Aberdeen police.”
