Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o has expressed his desire to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge beyond this season.
The Cameroon international signed a one-year deal with the Blues in August after cutting ties with Russian big-spenders Anzhi Makhachkala.
His age has been placed under the spotlight since his arrival, but after scoring his ninth goal of the campaign in Saturday’s 4-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, the 33-year-old has stated he is keen to remain in London.
“I am happy here,” Eto’o, who has now scored 300 club goals during his professional career was quoted as saying in The Evening Standard.
“My age is not important. I work the same as Oscar or Eden Hazard. I have more experience and this is good for the team.
“It is an amazing thing (to score 300 club goals) but I have maybe two or three years more (in my career). I think I am going to score more goals.”
