LONDON, England, March 8- Carlos Tevez has been arrested in Cheshire on suspicion of driving while disqualified, police sources said. He has been released on police bail.
The Manchester City striker, who was banned from driving for six months on January 16, was arrested yesterday near his home in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.
He was later bailed pending further inquiries.
A spokeswoman for Cheshire Police said: ‘At 5.13pm yesterday police arrested a 29-year-old man from Alderley Edge on the A538 in Macclesfield.
‘The man was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst disqualified and has since been released on police bail.’
Tevez was released on bail becasue there was no interpretor at Macclesfield. He is to return on to the police station on Tuesday.
When he was banned in January for six months, part of his failed argument was that he didn’t understand the word ‘constabularly’ on letters from police.
