GLASGOW, Scotland, March 6- Celtic star midfielder Victor Wanyama has been named among the 14 new emerging stars of this season’s Champions League by World Soccer Magazine where he graces the cover of the latest issue.
Meanwhile, the Kenyan international will attract a number of offers from top sides in Europe this summer, according to Juventus ace Andrea Pirlo.
The magazine ranks Wanyama in the same group as James Rodriguez of Porto, Dante of Bayern Munich and Sergio Canales of Valencia among other young players who have excelled in this season’s competition.
Pirlo, speaking ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League second leg in Turin, said the Harambee Stars was more than capable of performing at the top level.
Pirlo said: “You can see he has the ability to be one of the top midfielders in Europe.
“He has the quality and physical attributes to boss games.
“In the summer I would expect there to be interest in him from some of the biggest teams in Europe.”
Wanyama has been linked to a number of clubs across the continent, and Neil Lennon has valued the midfielder at £25million.
