Oliech seals Ajaccio switch

OLIECH-BAFANANAIROBI, Kenya, January 22- Kenya record scorer Dennis Oliech has sealed his move to French Ligue 1 side AJ Ajaccio on Tuesday.

The Former Auxerre hit man who scored 25 goals in 165 appearances for the Ligue 2 side has signed a two and half-year deal at his new side.

“I want to thank my former team mates and coach at Auxerre for the time I was there and I feel happy for this new challenge at Ajaccio as I help them in the league.

“I am glad to be back to Ligue one and I know I will work hard to inspire my team to greater heights,” the forward who has netted thrice this season told SuperSport.com.

The Harambee Stars striker joins a side starving to fend off relegation from the top flight with his new employers hoping he will be central in propelling them from the 16th place they occupy in Ligue 1.

Ajaccio are the third French side Oliech has featured following his stints at former champions Nantes and Auxerre after moving to the country from Al Arabi of Qatar.

The Stars captain has scored 32 goals for his nation since his debut in 2002 when he was playing for Tusker Premier League side Mathare United.
