Four axed fron Under-20 side

NAIROBI, Kenya, May 2- Four players have been dropped from the national under-20 football team that is preparing for an eight-nation tournament in South Africa.

Jackson Macharia from Central Province, John Olando (Kisumu), Daniel Muturi (Nairobi) and George Muchiri (Muranga) were axed by head coach Stanley Okumbi from the side that will feature at the tournament that kicks-off on May 22.

The age team lost 2-1 to Kenyan Premier League side Mathare United also coached by Okumbi in a friendly tie at Nairobi’s Nyayo National Stadium on Tuesday.

Collins Shivachi scored the junior Stars in the 50th min before Antony Kimani equalised for United barely 60 seconds later before Vincent Okello netted the winner.
