BILDA, Algeria February 3 – Africa women’s volleyball champions Kenya started their 2012 Olympics journey Thursday on a high note, after beating Seychelles at the qualifiers in Bilda Algeria.
Kenya won in straight sets of 25-15, 25-21, 25-23 impressing the home crowd with the victory to make their ambitions of Olympic ticket clear.
The continental champions showcased there dominance with the experienced lineup made up of players who won last years Africa Nations Championship and represented Africa at the FIVB World Cup in Japan.
The competition features four teams competing for a slot at the London 2012 Olympic Games with winner qualifying to the Olympics.
Kenya is scheduled to face Egypt in their second match Friday evening.
