Guinness Football Challenge is back & bigger

NAIROBI, Kenya, October 13, The second edition of the TV game show Guinness football challenge will feature Tanzania and Uganda.

Speaking at the launch of the popular game show Thursday, Guiness brand manager Agnes Kinga promised the brand will continue to deliver a fan friendly action packed game show.

“Guinness football challenge not only delivers exciting show content for viewer across east Africa but also open up participation to thousands of football funs,” said Kinga.

This year’s season will be big, better and different from the previous one since it will feature teams from Kenya Uganda and Tanzania said Kinga.

The television game show will be aired every Thursday evening on NTV in Kenya, and partnering broadcast stations in Uganda and Tanzania every Wednesday.

Kinga added that the brand has a long term relationship with its consumers.

“Guinness has built a strong bond around football and gained the popular distinction as a brand of choice for football fans. As usual it continues to advocate for responsible drinking and all activities open only to consumers over the age of 18years and above.”

This years Guinness football challenge launched on three platforms, a television game show, a web- based interface that enables football fans to participate in the challenge from their mobile phones and an in bar promotion that will see all loyal consumers win instant prizes if caught out taking the drink by Guinness team.

Top prize for the winner will be a chance to meet legendary footballers Jay Jay Okocha, from Nigeria, Marcel Desailly from Ghana/France, Rigobert Song from Cameroon and Kalusha Bwalya from Zambia.

The in-bar activation kicks off Saturday 15th October in key towns across the country and runs until 31st December 2011.
