NAIROBI, Kenya, March 25: A new playing kit for national football team Harambee Stars was launched as cash incentives were promised to the side for goals scored and victory against Angola in their 2012 Nations Cup qualifier.

The outfit designed by their kit sponsor Adidas arrived in the country on Friday and official replicas will retail to the fans at designated selling points.

At the same time, Sports Minister, Paul Otuoma pledged Sh50,000 ($596) to every player should Stars beat Palancas Negras on Saturday while Extreme Sports Limited whose CEO, Hussein Mohammed is eyeing Football Kenya chairmanship promised a similar amount to the team for every goal scored and a Sh100,000 ($1190) bonus for victory.

Otuoma who lunched with the team urged them to go for victory saying, “We have high expectation that you will make us proud tomorrow (Saturday). We are looking forward to celebrating your win.”

Angola arrived for the match Friday morning and conducted their first training session at Nyayo National Stadium in the evening.
