Keitany sets new record

NAIROBI, Kenya, February 18- Mary Keitany set a new world record in the Half Marathon on Friday after clocking 1:05:50 at the Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) in the United Arab Emirates.

Keitany, who was previously the second fastest woman in history, slashed 25 seconds from the previous mark of 1:06:25 set by Dutchwoman Lornah Kiplagat four years ago at the World Half Marathon Championships in Udine, Italy.

Keitany’s previous best was 1:06:36.
